The TIG “ST”as we like to call it, is our Lightweight 120mm frameset tipping the scales at 3.2kg including the Sid-Luxe ultimate rear shock , designed for racing, it can be built up as a sub 11kg bike without breaking the bank. Handcrafted right here in South Africa, from 6066 T6 heat-treated aluminium alloy as used on all our frame models. This alloy has superior properties to 6061 and even higher Tensile strength than 7020 with more elasticity and fatigue resistance.
With its 66deg. head angle and slightly steeper seat angle and 485mm reach (large), the Tig dollar for dollar, will reward you with a super-fast confidence inspiring ride. Its kinematics with a leverage curve at 20% increase gives it exceptional support, anti-rise is between 62% and 74% making for an “active under braking” ride. Anti-squat levels are up at around 140% mid cassette with a 34t front ring providing energy efficient pedalling.
The frame holds a full size water bottle and will run a 185mm x 47.5mm length or a 185mm x 55mm shock depending whether you want to run it in XC or Trail mode.
In addition to a 148mm boost rear end, featuring the UDH system, the TIG is ready for SRAM Hangerless Derailleurs.
There’s a two bolt ISCG 05 chain guide mount and all pivots use additionally sealed double-row full complement bearings.
